# Delivery fees for every governorate in Iraq, set by you, even per area

> Delivery fees in Madar are set by you for each governorate, and even for each area, from a ready list of 19 governorates and 683 areas. Your shopper sees the full total before confirming. Madar does not carry out deliveries: the company you choose does. On Pro you can link your account with Al-Waseet, Modon Express or Hi Express and send an order to it with one tap.

## What you control in your delivery fees

- **A delivery fee for each governorate**: Set a fee for each governorate in the list, 19 in all. Your shopper sees it inside the order total.
- **A delivery fee for each area when needed**: If an area is nearer or farther than the rest of its governorate, give it its own fee from the 683 areas in the list. Areas you leave alone keep the governorate's fee.
- **A list of the delivery companies you work with**: Record the companies you work with so they sit in one list. When you prepare an order, you choose the company that will take it.
- **A ready list, and fees you can change**: You never type governorate or area names, because they are already in Madar. You set only the numbers and change them whenever your delivery company's prices change.

## How to set up your delivery fees

1. **Start with one fee per governorate**: In the Delivery section of your dashboard, set a fee for the governorates your delivery company really reaches. Illustrative example: Baghdad IQD 5,000, other governorates IQD 8,000. These numbers are only an example, not any delivery company's prices.
2. **Refine the areas that differ**: Once you see where your orders come from, give a different fee to areas that are close to your warehouse or far from it, to match what delivery there costs.
3. **Add your companies, then hand over each order**: Record the companies you work with and give each order to its company. With Al-Waseet, Modon Express or Hi Express on Pro, you link your account: one tap sends the order and its status follows the shipment. With any other company, update the status yourself.

## Good to know

- An order's status moves from the company to your dashboard by itself only with Al-Waseet, Modon Express and Hi Express, once linked on Pro or in the trial. With any other company you update it by hand.
- Madar promises no delivery time, because it does not deliver. The time depends on the company you choose, so ask it how long each governorate takes before you give shoppers any delivery time.
- Fees in Madar are set by governorate and area, not by the weight or size of a parcel, so set a fee that suits your usual parcel. Delivery fee setup is available in both Basic and Pro.

## Frequently asked questions

**How many governorates and areas can I set a delivery fee for?**

Madar's list has 19 governorates and 683 areas. You can set a fee for each governorate and give any area its own fee. The fee is the amount you decide to charge the shopper, and you can change it whenever you like.

**Does Madar deliver orders, and can I link a delivery company?**

Madar does not deliver orders and is not a delivery company. You set the fees and keep a list of the companies you work with. On Pro and in the free trial you link your own account with Al-Waseet, Modon Express or Hi Express, send an order with one tap, and its status follows the shipment. With any other company you hand the order over and update its status yourself. Arrival times and prices are between you and the company.

**How do I decide the delivery fee for each governorate?**

When you set the delivery fee for each governorate, think of three things: how far the governorate is from your warehouse, the size of your usual parcel, and what your delivery company charges you for it. Start with one fee per governorate, then adjust the areas whose cost differs. A fee that is too high can lose you the order, and one that is too low cuts into your profit.

**Can I work with more than one delivery company?**

Yes. In Madar you keep a list of the delivery companies you work with and choose the company for each order. The fee, though, is one per governorate or area whichever company you choose, so base it on the company you use most.
