## What you get in inventory management

- **Multiple warehouses in one store**: Add more than one warehouse, and each keeps its own stock. You can have 2 warehouses on the Basic plan and 5 on the Pro plan.
- **Stock for every size and colour**: You track each option of a product, such as size and colour, in each warehouse separately, so you know which size ran out and which colour is left.
- **A low-stock alert before an item runs out**: You set the low-stock level for each product. When its quantity reaches that level you get an alert, so you reorder before it is gone rather than after.
- **Stock adjustments for receipts and corrections**: When goods arrive, you record the quantity as a stock adjustment on the product. When you find a difference, you correct the quantity the same way, so the number in Madar matches what you hold.
- **A stock movement log for every product**: Every addition, deduction and adjustment to a product's quantity is recorded with its date, and a returned item goes back into stock, so you see how a quantity reached its current number.
- **Stock counts to match the shelf**: In a stock count you count what is on the shelf and compare it with the record, then correct the quantity where the two numbers differ.

## How to run your inventory in Madar

1. **Add your warehouses and first quantities**: In the Stock and warehouses section of your dashboard, create a warehouse for each place where you keep goods, then record the quantity of each size and colour in it.
2. **Record every shipment and watch the alerts**: When goods arrive, record the received quantity as a stock adjustment on each product. When a low-stock alert comes, reorder from your supplier before the item runs out.
3. **Count regularly and match the shelf**: Count after a busy sales period, before you order new goods, and regularly at a pace that suits your business. Compare the differences with the record, then correct the quantities.

## Good to know

- Basic and Pro include exactly the same inventory features. The only difference between them is the number of warehouses.
- The merchant app for iOS and Android is coming soon, and it will show the low-stock list too.
- Stock numbers in Madar depend on what you record and on your store's orders. Goods that enter your warehouse unrecorded will not show in the numbers, which is why regular counts help.

## Frequently asked questions

**How many warehouses can I add in Madar?**

Madar supports multiple warehouses in one store: 2 on the Basic plan and 5 on the Pro plan. Each warehouse keeps its own stock, and you track every size and colour in it separately. If you keep your goods in one place, one warehouse is enough.

**How does the low-stock alert work?**

Madar alerts you when a product's quantity reaches the level you set, so you can order new goods before it runs out. The alert appears in your dashboard notifications and is sent to your WhatsApp after you verify your number. Set the level above what you sell while a new shipment is on its way.

**How do I run a stock count in Madar?**

You start a stock count in Madar and enter the quantity you actually counted for each product, then compare it with the recorded quantity and correct the difference. Count what is on the shelf before you look at the recorded number, because an honest count is more accurate. Count after a busy sales period and before you order new goods.

**How can I find out where an item went missing?**

Open the product's stock movement log in Madar, start from the last number you know was right, and read each movement after it. The log shows what was recorded, so the gap between it and your shelf count is what was not recorded: a shipment entered with the wrong number, or a piece that left without a record. Then correct the quantity with a count.
