Selling in Dhi Qar: Nasiriyah, the districts and the marshes
The centre of Dhi Qar is the city of Nasiriyah on the Euphrates. The governorate holds the ruins of the ancient Sumerian city of Ur and the Chibayish marshes, and it borders Basra, Maysan, Muthanna, Al-Qadisiyyah and Wasit. Your shoppers live in Nasiriyah's neighbourhoods and in districts and sub-districts far from it, such as Shatrah, Suq Al-Shuyukh and Chibayish, and the distances differ from one to the next. So a fee that suits central Nasiriyah alone is not enough: work out the full cost of the trip to each distant address before you settle its fee.
Delivery to Dhi Qar: pricing the city and the districts
Start with a fee for Nasiriyah's neighbourhoods, say IQD 8,000 as an example, then review each distant place separately. Shatrah, Suq Al-Shuyukh and Chibayish are districts and sub-districts outside the city, and each lies a different distance from your warehouse, so make the farthest ones higher. Build the cost of your usual parcel into each fee, since it is one figure per area and does not change with a parcel's size or weight, and ask the company about remote addresses before you accept the order. If the company cannot reach an address, record the order as Delivery failed so your records stay accurate. This figure is only an example and has nothing to do with what a company charges you.

An example delivery fee setup for Dhi Qar
This is an illustrative example with numbers of our own, not any delivery company's price. We start with a general governorate fee of IQD 8,000, then adjust two areas.
For every detail of fees in Madar, read:
Delivery fees| Area | Delivery fee (example) |
|---|---|
| All areas of Dhi Qar | IQD 8,000 |
| Al-Askari (close to your warehouse) | IQD 6,000 |
| Ur (far from your warehouse) | IQD 10,000 |
The numbers are for illustration only. You change them in your delivery settings, and the real fee is your decision.
A Dhi Qar merchant's questions
Can I price Chibayish and Suq Al-Shuyukh differently from Nasiriyah?
Yes. Chibayish, Suq Al-Shuyukh and Shatrah can have fees different from Nasiriyah's neighbourhoods, according to how far each is from your warehouse, because every area of Dhi Qar has its own fee in Madar. You can start with one general fee for the governorate and give only the far places their own, and change the figures whenever you like.
What if I cannot find the shopper's village in the Dhi Qar list?
Madar's Dhi Qar list holds 27 named areas, and not every village or sub-district is among them. That is why there is an Other option for any address not listed, and you can set a fee for it like any other area. Confirm the address with the shopper by phone before you hand the order to the delivery company.
I sell from another governorate: what if my delivery company cannot reach an address in Dhi Qar?
Madar does not deliver orders itself, so delivery is the responsibility of the company you work with, whether your warehouse is in Dhi Qar or in another governorate. If it cannot reach the address, record the order as Delivery failed, or hand it to another company from the list of companies you keep in Madar.
